Renewal of the Exchange Agreement with the Tokyo University of the Arts (Geidai)

Geidai is a high renown University of Arts based in central Tokyo. The renewal of the agreement, allows TU Wien students majoring in architecture to study in this outstanding environment.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Austria and Japan, Vice Rector Johannes Fröhlich accompanied Iris Mach and Thomas Rief from JASEC on a trip to Japan – a fantastic opportunity to personally sign the renewal with the Tokyo University of the Arts (better known as Geidai).

In contrast to TU Wien with its 6.000 architecture students, Geidai provides a very exclusive atmosphere with little more than 110 students which are organized in labs of around 10 students each, supervised by one professor.
