Study and Research in Japan

TU Wien currently has agreements with 14 Japanese partner institutions and universities. Joint activities range from short-term stays (e.g. summer schools) up to long-term stays (eg. Double degree programs) and we are constantly extending our exchange possibilities.

Non-Degree Programs

Under the Joint Study Program TU Wien students have the possibility for to stay at a Japanese partner university for one or two semesters. However, in contrast to a typical Erasmus exchange the focus will be on a personal research project (Master or Doctor Thesis). Students of the Joint Study program will not have to pay tuition fees at the host university and can apply for additional financial support from TU Wien via the Joint Study Scholarship.
